About the Tattoo

One of my friends told me that he went to make a tattoo. He told me the reason that he want to record one turning point of his life and he thought the tattoo could give him power to face any difficulty. The tattoo is a pair of wings which is like the wings of the eagle. It symbols that he want to fly higher and higher in his own sky and take off at this moment. He also wrote a story of himself and sent it to me to keep it because we knew each other for more than ten years and keep in touch never break off. My friend has a miserable childhood and hardly life. Until now, he finally has a steady life and a good job. In order to celebrate the born-again, he made the tattoo. I hope he could live better and remember the feelings at that moment.

In past, the old men always thought the tattoo symbolized “bad guys”. They could not receive the behavior of tattoo. Because the skin is given by our parents, we could not hurt it especially deliberate. But now the tattoo is more common in the present age.
So nowadays, many teenagers like to make tattoos on their skin. By the way, I will never do that but I don’t disagree that. Just for one reason, I am afraid of pain. Some people think that is just for fun. Others think that is a record of their life. And some think that is art. No matter the reason they make the tattoo, only one thing they have to know is that the tattoo can not disappear and follow them forever. They have to response for their decision and have no chance of regret.

But there are some taboos of tattoo. If you want to make a tattoo, you have to know that. First one is not making the dragon on your backside. Because in Taiwanese pronounce, it sounds like confounded. Second one is not making the joss on anywhere because it is very impious. Third one is not tattooing on your face. It is not lucky for you. Last one is that never tattoo for others.
